A Kickstarter Campaign by Nursnook, Inc.

We are a social platform that other social platforms will not abide.

There are 27 million nurses on this planet. The most trusted profession in the world. And not a single platform built for them. We're changing that — and we have the receipts to prove why it matters.

Times Meta Removed Us

The Receipts.

We didn't come here with a theory. We came with evidence. We built professional accounts on Instagram and Threads. Posted quality content — original writing, original design, a real brand with a real mission. Meta verified us. Then they removed us. Twice. On two platforms.

When the accounts were finally restored, the content was still there — untouched, professional, exactly as we published it. But the engagement? Flatlined. Quality posts. Zero reach. That's not an algorithm problem. That's a policy.

Instagram — @nursnook

Verified. Removed. Restored. Throttled.

Professional account. Meta Verified. Original content — not reposts, not memes, not engagement bait. Real articles from a real publication. Removed without cause. Restored after appeal. Engagement: near zero.

~0 organic reach after restoration

Threads — @nursnook

Same company. Same playbook.

Threads launched as Meta's "open conversation" platform. We showed up with exactly that — open, thoughtful posts about nursing, community, and what a dedicated platform could look like. Removed in lockstep with Instagram. Restored with the same dead reach.

~0 organic reach after restoration

The content is still there. Go look. The posts are professional. The brand is real. The engagement is a ghost town — not because the content failed, but because Meta decided we weren't welcome. Other platforms haven't done this — yet. But when the largest social media company on earth removes you twice for building a competing platform, the precedent is set. Our wariness is earned.

"The very idea that big social isn't throttling our engagements is inordinately benign."

The Mission

Nurses deserve a platform as committed to their care as they are to ours.

Nursnook is a social platform built exclusively for the 27 million nurses worldwide. Not a Facebook group. Not a subreddit. Not a hashtag someone else owns. A dedicated, nurse-owned, nurse-governed community that gathers nurses online and brings them together offline.

Nursnook, Inc. is wholly owned by the Nurshaus Foundation — a Delaware nonprofit whose sole mission is to strengthen the wellbeing, resilience, and families of nurses. Every dollar of profit flows back to nurses through crisis mental health support, emergency hardship relief, and family care programs.

This isn't a startup looking for an exit. This is infrastructure. For the people who hold everything together.

Problem. Fix. Community.
That's why we're here.

The Equation

Meta won't platform us. So we'll platform ourselves.

The problem: The world's largest social platforms treat nurses as content — not as a community. They'll take the engagement, the emotional posts at 3 AM, the viral moments after a mass casualty event. Meta proved what happens when you try to build a competing platform for those nurses: you get silenced. We don't know yet whether other platforms will follow suit — but we're not waiting to find out.

The proposed fix: Build the thing anyway. A custom-built social network with its own CMS, its own blog, its own events infrastructure, its own nomenclature, its own culture. Independent of every platform that tried to stop it.

Your response: Back this campaign. Fund the Founding Collection. Become one of the first members of a platform designed from the ground up for nurses — by someone who watched the healthcare system fail three people he loved most, and decided to build something that helps the people who couldn't save them.

Problem solved: Nurses get their platform. The Foundation gets its funding engine. And you get a piece of something that will never be sold in stores.

The Founder

Why I'm building this.

Israele

Founder & CEO, Nursnook, Inc. · Nurshaus Foundation

I've lost three people to the healthcare system. Three people whose nurses could not save them. In 2015, I watched my grandmother die in a hospital where the system failed her — and failed the nurses who tried to help her. One nurse risked her career to fax medical records to another hospital. It wasn't enough. But I never forgot what she did.

Three times I stood on the wrong side of that line. Three times I saw what nurses carry when the outcome is the worst one. The weight they absorb. The grief they metabolize in silence. The way they show up the next shift and do it again.

Nursnook exists because nurses deserve a platform as committed to their wellbeing as they are to ours. I've spent years building this — the foundation, the trademark, the technology, the content. Every article on The Nook. Every line of code. Every pixel of this page. Built alone, with purpose.

This campaign isn't asking for charity. It's offering you a seat at the founding of something that will outlast all of us. Back this project and you're not just buying a bag. You're planting a flag.

The Writing

Don't take our word for it. Read it.

The Nook is Nursnook's flagship publication — nine articles that lay out exactly what this platform is, why it exists, and what it means for every nurse who joins it. The writing speaks for itself.

Risks & Challenges

What could go wrong — and how we handle it.

Product images are artistic renderings. The Founding Collection is made to order by artisan cobblers. Final products are handcrafted and will vary slightly in color, texture, and grain — each piece is unique by design. Like any bespoke craft, the delivered product may differ from the rendering. It will meet or exceed the quality standard of a boutique, custom-made deliverable.

Fulfillment timeline. Leather goods require sourcing, hand-dyeing, firebranding, serial numbering, and packaging. We've built 8–12 weeks of buffer into our timeline. If delays occur, backers will receive transparent updates throughout.

Platform development. Nursnook's beta launch is targeted for November 11, 2026. The CMS, blog, and foundation infrastructure are already live and operational. The social platform is the final build. If the beta date shifts, founding memberships and Founders Wall placements remain permanent regardless of launch date.

Step Wide.
The place is yours.

Back the Founding Collection. Become a founding member of the first platform built exclusively for nurses. Own a piece of something that will never be sold again.
